Great news from Denmark!

FCI's General Committee has given the Danish Kennel Club permission to hold the First Official World Championship in Freestyle and HTM at the World Dog Show in Herning, Denmark in June 2010.

We (the Danish KC's HTM Committee) only got the letter from the FCI 4 days ago, so there are still lots of unanswered questions, but this is what we know so far:
  • Each participating country can enter a National Team consisting of three Heelwork To Music and three Freestyle handlers (dogs and handlers can participate in multiple events).
  • Only dogs with an FCI pedigree or pedigree recognized by the FCI can participate.
  • Should a country enter less than three competitors in a discipline, they will still be able to compete for a place in the individual finals.
  • The competition is a team and individual event for countries affiliated to the FCI.
  • Entries can only be submitted via the national kennel clubs of the individual countries.
  • Judges will be: Karen Sykes, England (head judge) - Marleen van Heese, Belgium - Carina Enevoldsen, Denmark
  • The official invitation will be sent to the National KCs ASAP.

We hope you will all support this event and that as many countries as possible will send a team.

Best wishes from the Danish Kennel Club HTM Committee
